Our Story
Everyone loves fireworks, until they barely break even trying to sell them. The temperature inside the fireworks stand was 96 degrees, the temperature outside was 102, and two days before July the 3rd the stand was robbed during the night. Boxing up unsold inventory and accounting for the product that was stolen revealed the disappointing reality that two weeks of effort would not even be half the money the group needed for their summer trip. It was then that the founder of Scratch and Support said, "there has to be an easier and more profitable way to raise money".
After months of searching, the answer to "easier and more profitable" would come from those who were experts in the field of school and nonprofit group fundraising programs...teachers, coaches, group sponsors, administrators, and community volunteers. An elementary school teacher in El Dorado, Arkansas said it best, "Give us a product that's easy to handle, returns a profit for the effort, doesn't spoil if we can't deliver it right away, is easy for the group to sell, and doesn't cause the donor to close the curtains the next time we ask for help".
For most groups, fundraising is necessary, but it doesn't have to be the most dreaded item on the group's yearly "to do" list. Scratch and Support is committed to helping educational and community groups raise funds to accomplish their mission statements. When we do our job, we know your job is easier.
